FT Untar Prepares 157 New Graduates for the Professional Engineering Industry

The Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held its Academic Year 2025/2026 graduation ceremony (Yudisium) at Untar Campus I on Tuesday (21/07/2026). A total of 157 graduates from various study programs took part in the ceremony, marking the completion of their academic journey before entering the professional world.

FT Untar Dean Dr. Ir. Wilson Kosasih, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng. expressed his gratitude for the graduates’ achievements. He emphasized that the graduation ceremony is not the end of their journey but rather the gateway to building successful careers and making meaningful contributions to society through their professional expertise.

Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. also attended the ceremony and congratulated graduates from all study programs. In his remarks, he acknowledged that reaching this milestone required perseverance and dedication.

“It is not easy to reach this point, but the true learning process begins when you become alumni—when the knowledge you have gained throughout your studies is put into practice in the professional world,” he said.

The Chair of the Academic Committee for the ceremony, who also serves as Head of the Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Ir. Didi Widya Utama, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., presented the academic report on the graduates eligible to participate in this year’s ceremony. The graduates comprised 7 from the Doctor of Civil Engineering Program, 15 from the Master of Civil Engineering Program, 43 from the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program, 34 from the Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Program, 11 from the Undergraduate Electrical Engineering Program, and 47 from the Undergraduate Industrial Engineering Program.

During the event, one of the recipients of the Outstanding Academic Graduate Award, Augustinus Setijanto from the Doctor of Civil Engineering Program, shared his experience studying at FT Untar. “Throughout my studies here, I always felt that Untar provided tremendous support in many ways, nurtured students’ creativity, and continuously encouraged us to become graduates with integrity and professional competence,” he said.

As part of its commitment to preparing graduates for successful careers, FT Untar also organized a direct recruitment program in collaboration with the multinational company PT Artelia Isoplan Indonesia, which specializes in engineering consultancy, project management, and construction management. The initiative reflects FT Untar’s efforts to connect graduates directly with industry while expanding career opportunities for its alumni. (VC/YS)
