The Tarumanagara University Badminton League Student Activity Unit (UKM LBUT) held Untar Cup x GTS 2026, an inter-school and university badminton competition, from May 19–22, 2026, at Untar Campus I.

Carrying the theme “Unity in the Court, Legacy for the Future,” the event brought together participants from various schools and universities. The competition served as a platform for young athletes to develop their skills while gaining valuable match experience.

Chairperson of Untar Cup x GTS 2026 and a student of the Faculty of Information Technology (2024), Rico Ario Wardana, said the event was organized to support athletes in their journey through a positive and constructive competitive environment.

“This event was created to become part of the athletes’ journey and provide a platform for growth through competition, one of which is Untar Cup x GTS 2026,” said Rico.

He expressed hope that similar events would continue to be held and further developed in the coming years, as they play an important role in helping athletes improve themselves, both within the university environment and other educational institutions.

One of the participants from Parahyangan Catholic University, Shane Marvel Timothy, shared his enthusiasm about returning to compete in Untar Cup for the second time. “I’m happy because this is my second time participating in Untar Cup. I feel that this year’s event has improved significantly,” he said. (VC/YS)
