A total of 10 finalists presented their logo and hashtag designs for the Faculty of Architecture, Planning, and Real Estate (FAPRE) of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) during the final stage of a competition held online on May 8, 2026. The competition was part of the newly established faculty’s efforts to build its visual identity.

The finalists presented the concepts and philosophies behind their works before a panel of judges, competing for the top three positions and the opportunity to have their designs selected as FAPRE’s official visual identity. The winning logo will be used in various academic activities, publications, and institutional communications of the faculty.

FAPRE is a newly established faculty within Untar, formed through the development of the university’s academic organizational structure. Before becoming an independent faculty, the study programs currently under FAPRE were part of the Faculty of Engineering. The establishment of FAPRE marks a strategic step toward strengthening the management and advancement of academic disciplines in architecture, planning, and real estate, fields that have long been developed at Untar.

Dean of FAPRE Untar, Maria Veronica Gandha, S.T., M.Arch., stated that a visual identity plays an important role in strengthening the faculty’s image and increasing public recognition. Therefore, the selected logo is expected to represent the character, vision, and academic fields developed by FAPRE.

During the evaluation process, the panel of judges assessed the submissions based on several criteria, including originality, alignment with the faculty’s vision and mission, creativity, and the logo’s adaptability across various communication media. In addition, recognizability and memorability were also taken into consideration.

FAPRE currently oversees several study programs in architecture, planning, and real estate. The Architecture Study Program at Untar is recognized as one of the oldest private schools of architecture in Indonesia, while the Real Estate Study Program is the first academic program in Indonesia specifically dedicated to the study of real estate.

Chair of the FAPRE Logo and Hashtag Competition Committee, Laura Tri Agustin, expressed her hope that the selection process would produce a visual identity capable of representing the faculty’s spirit and future direction of development.

Through this competition, FAPRE seeks to establish an identity that is not only easily recognizable but also reflects the values of innovation, professionalism, creativity, and sustainability that underpin the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi).
