The Master’s Program in Information Technology under the Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) at Untar has officially been established. The inauguration was marked by the handover of the Ministerial Decree from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology by Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III Jakarta, Henri Togar Hasiholan Tambunan, S.E., M.A., on Thursday (16/04/2026).

The Head of LLDikti Region III emphasized that with the issuance of the permit for the new study program, its quality must be consistently maintained. He also expressed hope that the program would gradually achieve higher accreditation standards up to the excellent category.

“Once the program begins admitting new students, all supporting aspects must be well prepared, including lecturer readiness and other necessary requirements,” he stated.

On the same occasion, Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through LLDikti Region III for the trust given to Untar in opening the new study program.

“The Master’s Program in Information Technology is planned to begin its learning activities in the upcoming odd semester, and all preparations are being carried out in accordance with the guidance from LLDikti Region III,” the Rector stated.

With the opening of the Master’s Program in Information Technology, Untar now has 33 study programs across nine faculties and postgraduate programs.

The handover ceremony was also attended by Deputy Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Steven Nigel B., S.H., M.Sc.; Head of the Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T.; Head of the Quality Assurance and Audit Office Desi Arisandi, S.Kom., M.T.I.; and Head of the Rectorate Office Astari, S.Kom., M.Kom.

In addition, representatives from FTI Untar included Dean of FTI Untar Prof. Lina, S.T., M.Kom., Ph.D.; Head of the Undergraduate Informatics Engineering Study Program Lely Hiryanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; and Secretary of the Undergraduate Informatics Engineering and Information Systems Study Program Manatap Dolok L.
