The signing of a cooperation agreement between the Tarumanagara Foundation and the Komisi Nasional Disabilitas (KND) at Untar Campus I on Monday (13/04/2026) marked a concrete step in supporting and strengthening Untar’s programs as an inclusive and equitable campus.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized that the collaboration is not merely a symbol of partnership, but also part of the institution’s strategy to build an education system capable of accommodating diversity, including for persons with disabilities.
According to him, the cooperation also represents an important milestone in Untar’s journey toward becoming an inclusive and sustainable higher education institution.
“This collaboration reflects Untar’s commitment to creating an educational environment that is open, equal, and welcoming to all communities,” he stated.
Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., explained that the signing aligns with the foundation’s vision in advancing education and healthcare, while also strengthening support for the inclusivity initiatives implemented by Untar.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Komisi Nasional Disabilitas, Dante Rigmalia, M.Pd., stated that KND holds a mandate in monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy related to the respect, protection, and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Collaboration with higher education institutions is considered a strategic step in expanding the implementation of inclusive values within educational environments.
Through this cooperation, Untar together with the Tarumanagara Foundation and Komisi Nasional Disabilitas seeks to build sustainable synergy in creating a more disability-friendly campus ecosystem while supporting the fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities more optimally.
As part of strengthening the inclusive environment, Untar has also established the Center for Psychological Guidance and Consultation (PBKP), now known as the Tarumanagara Psychology Center, to increase awareness of mental health among the academic community and foster a supportive and inclusive campus atmosphere.
