Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) continues to accelerate its institutional development through stronger international collaboration and the preparation of strategic infrastructure, including the planned construction of Campus 4. The initiative was emphasized as part of a long-term transformation aimed at enhancing the university’s competitiveness at both national and global levels.
Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., stated that strengthening the university’s international reputation has become one of Untar’s main priorities. Therefore, Untar continues to expand partnerships with various overseas universities while encouraging improvements in academic achievement and innovation. The statement was delivered during Untar’s 2026 Lunar New Year celebration themed “Flourish Beyond Fortune” on Thursday (26/2/2026) at the Auditorium of Building M, Campus I Untar.
One of the programs currently being prepared is the development of double degree programs in the fields of law, economics, and engineering. In addition, Untar is designing joint degree and fast-track schemes with international partners to provide students with broader access to global academic experiences.
“Through international collaborations such as double degree, joint degree, and fast-track programs, we aim to strengthen Untar’s position on the global stage,” he stated.
On the infrastructure side, Chair of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting the gradual development of Campus 4. The initial stage of development is planned as Tarumanagara City, an integrated area combining education and engineering within a single ecosystem.
As part of the plan, the School of Engineering will be rebranded and developed into a one-stop service center for engineering faculties and study programs. The concept is expected to become an innovation hub integrating information technology, architectural development, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in engineering and design.
