The Universitas Tarumanagara Choir (PSUT) held a Valentine’s concert titled Eterna: From First Glance to Forever on Saturday (21/02/2026) at Graha Swara.
The Valentine-themed concert presented more than just a series of songs—it told a story. Each performance was arranged to follow the journey of love, beginning with a first encounter filled with curiosity, growing into warmth and closeness, and eventually leading to a lasting commitment.
The audience was invited not only to enjoy the music, but also to experience the emotions that unfolded through every song performed.
The concert was held under the direction of music director Jason Ferdison and accompanied by pianist Nicholas Rio. Both collaborated in arranging and performing the musical compositions that accompanied the entire performance.
Chairperson of PSUT, Chaeranny Ratna Syafira Aslam, stated that the team had prepared the concert several months in advance.
“This concert invites the audience to witness the journey of love through music,” she said.
In line with this, Chairperson of the PSUT Valentine Concert Committee, Firly Felisia, added that the music performed was expected not only to be heard, but also to leave meaningful impressions and stories for listeners.
One of the songs performed during the concert was Sampai Jadi Debu, originally popularized by Banda Neira. The song was rearranged by Yosan Cahyadi, an alumnus of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Universitas Tarumanagara.
The concert served as a platform for students to develop their interests and talents in vocal arts, while also becoming a learning opportunity related to musicality, teamwork, and stage performance. (VC/YS)
