Paying taxes is one of the responsibilities of citizens in supporting the sustainability of national development. Through tax revenue, the government is able to provide various public services that directly contribute to public welfare, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

In 2026, the government once again encourages all taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations on time and in accordance with applicable regulations. The deadline for submitting the 2025 Annual Tax Return (Surat Pemberitahuan Tahunan, or SPT) for individual taxpayers is 31 March 2026, while corporate taxpayers must submit their returns no later than 30 April 2026.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of public services, the government continues to enhance the tax administration system to provide greater convenience, security, and transparency for taxpayers. Tax reporting can now be completed digitally through CoreTax, a platform provided by the Direktorat Jenderal Pajak, making the process more practical and efficient.

Through tax compliance, the public actively contributes to the creation of good governance and institutional integrity. Greater awareness and participation among taxpayers are expected to ensure that the benefits of development can be more broadly experienced across society, supporting the realization of a more advanced and prosperous Indonesia.
