Untar held a Farewell Student Exchange event for six students from Heilbronn University, Germany, who have completed a one-semester exchange program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar). The event took place at Building M, Campus I Untar, on Friday (05/12/2025), marking the conclusion of both academic and cultural experiences undertaken by the participants.
Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., attended the event and expressed appreciation for Heilbronn University’s trust in sending its students to study at Untar. He was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, Vice Rector of Untar, as well as Eduard Tjahjadi, Dipl.Eng., member of the Tarumanagara Foundation Supervisory Board, who delivered farewell remarks and appreciation for the students’ dedication throughout the program.
Head of the Institute for Cooperation and International Relations at Untar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, IPU, emphasized Untar’s commitment to expanding global partnerships and providing the best academic experience for international students.
“May this experience allow all of you to gain learning that you have never had before and to learn something new,” he said in his remarks.
During the one-semester program, the students participated in various academic activities, cultural introductions, and interactions with Untar’s academic community, which they said provided new insights into Indonesia.
One exchange student, Christina Kyriakidou, shared her deep impression of studying at Untar.
“I gained many new experiences during my time here. Through this opportunity, I learned that everything can be faced with an open heart and a smile, just like what people in Indonesia, especially at Untar, do.”
Another student, Jona van Helt, also emphasized that the program provided significant personal development value.
“Through this opportunity, we all learned to become more independent, more courageous, and more open-minded. We will definitely miss these moments.”
Through programs like this, Untar continues to strengthen its position as an internationally oriented university that actively provides global academic experiences and fosters cross-cultural understanding among students from various countries.
