Untar sent 15 students to participate in a student exchange program at Edith Cowan University (ECU), Perth, Australia, through the Untar International Student Mobility program held from 24–28 November 2025.
For one week, Untar students from various faculties took part in a series of academic activities and cultural visits organized by ECU. The program included visits to the Western Australian Museum, Kings Park and Botanic Garden, and Caversham Wildlife Park as part of efforts to introduce Australian culture and environment to the participants.
Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., expressed hope that the program would provide valuable new experiences for students that could later be implemented in Indonesia. He also encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity.
“Hopefully this opportunity will bring valuable insights and knowledge gained during the program in Australia, which can later be applied in Indonesia as effectively as possible,” he stated during the pre-departure briefing.

One of the participants, Janice Arivi Puji from the Faculty of Law (FH) Untar, shared that the exchange program provided valuable experiences, particularly in developing independence and adaptability.
“The student exchange program in Australia taught me independence through simple things, such as commuting to and from the ECU campus using the subway,” said Janice.
She also shared one of her most memorable academic experiences during her studies at ECU. According to her, one of the most interesting classes was a negotiation course delivered in an interactive format.
“The lecturer incorporated small games that helped students directly understand what should be done during the negotiation process,” she added.
As an institution that prioritizes internationalization, Untar continues to expand collaboration opportunities with various international universities. Through this student exchange program, Untar remains committed to preparing students with global perspectives and the ability to compete internationally.
