The Interior Design Study Program of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (Prodi DI FSRD) at Untar held a seminar with interior design practitioners on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Untar Campus I.

Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah DI Untar untuk memperkenalkan para mahasiswa pada dunia profesional serta mempelajari gaya dan konsep moodboard untuk tata ruang. Seminar tersebut membahas bagaimana ide desain dapat disampaikan melalui material dan moodboard.

Under the theme “SCOMA: Schematic Concept & Moodboard,” this activity is a seminar and workshop held for the fifth time by Untar Interior Design.

This year, DI Untar invited interior designers from Indonesia to share insights on developing design ideas through materials and moodboards in two sessions.

The first session featured the founders of Domisilium Studio, Hamphrey Tedja and Santi Alaysius, presenting a topic titled Material as Storyteller: Building a Hospitality Atmosphere Through Material Exploration.

The second session was led by Helen Agustine, Principal Architect of Helen Agustine Studio, and Hans Susantio, Founder and Design Director of Vindate Architecture & Interior as well as an alumnus of Untar Interior Design, presenting the topic Visual Storytelling through Material Board: Communicating Design Concept Effectively.

On this occasion, Hans also shared his perspective on the use of materials as communicative elements in interior design.

The man, who was part of DI Untar’s class of 2001, conveyed his message, “Untar can produce more graduates who are adaptable designers and able to keep up with the times,” said Hans.

In this year’s SCOMA event, DI Untar also introduced various materials used in the interior industry. Several brands participated, including TMAC Decorazzo, Quadra, Idefab, Teka, Singres Mosaic, Aica, and Colours of Chroma, making this activity a platform for collaboration between the education and industry sectors.
