Untar students actively participated in CEO Bootcamp Batch 5, a collaborative program between Untar and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, organized by the Tarumanagara Foundation through Tarumanagara Enterprise from 22–26 October 2025 at Untar Campus I. The program forms part of Untar’s internationalization efforts in line with its vision of becoming a globally recognized university.

Carrying the theme “Innovation for All: Bridging Gaps and Empowering Community,” the program brought together participants from both institutions. Over the course of five days, participants engaged in an intensive hackathon based on the Design Thinking approach, covering stages such as empathy building, problem identification, ideation, prototyping, and testing practical solutions focused on community empowerment.

The program also involved industry practitioners and startup founders from Indonesia as mentors and facilitators. They provided practical insights and contextual perspectives on entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia. Through these interactions, Untar students gained firsthand experience in cross-cultural collaboration and developed a deeper understanding of global entrepreneurial challenges.

Universitas Tarumanagara Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. stated that the program serves as an important platform for students to broaden their perspectives and foster an innovative mindset.

“Through programs like this, Untar students not only learn entrepreneurial theories but also experience firsthand the process of creative thinking and cross-cultural collaboration. This broadens their horizons, enabling them to think globally and take meaningful action for society,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Tarumanagara Enterprise, Steven Nigel Bunalven, S.H., M.Sc., emphasized that the CEO Bootcamp reflects Tarumanagara’s commitment to building an innovation ecosystem that is relevant to the younger generation.

“In the Gen Z era, innovation is no longer solely about technology; it is about having the courage to understand reality and create meaningful solutions for the market. Through CEO Bootcamp, Tarumanagara provides a real platform for students to collaborate with international partners, solve social challenges, and develop the mindset of entrepreneurs who create value and impact,” he explained.

The implementation of CEO Bootcamp demonstrates the strategic role of the Tarumanagara Foundation through Tarumanagara Enterprise in strengthening Untar’s position as an adaptive, innovative, and globally oriented university. The program further reinforces Untar’s efforts to expand international partnerships and encourage students to become agents of change capable of creating sustainable, inclusive solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
