The Faculty of Communication Studies (Fikom) at Untar officially established its Master’s Program in Communication Studies, marked by the handover of the Decree (SK) from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek) to the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., on Monday (30/9/2024) at the LLDikti Region III office.
The Head of LLDikti Region III reminded all universities that received the SK to uphold the trust given and maintain the quality of their programs through internal quality assurance standards. “Manage the programs according to the internal quality assurance standards of each university,” he emphasized.
On the occasion, the Rector of Untar expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and LLDikti Region III for entrusting Untar to manage the new program. The SK handover was also attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H., Dean of Fikom Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., and Head of the Undergraduate Communication Studies Program Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A.
“The Master’s Program in Communication Studies is planned to start in the upcoming even semester. Registration will open soon,” shared the Dean of Fikom.
In addition to Untar, nine other universities from various disciplines received SKs from the Head of LLDikti Region III. Untar itself has secured two SKs for new programs this month, bringing its total to 32 programs across eight faculties and postgraduate levels.
The event concluded with a ceremonial thanksgiving, including the cutting of a traditional tumpeng to celebrate the new program launch. The ceremony was attended by the Rector, the Head of LLDikti III, and their staff. “We hope Untar can continue contributing to the nation, particularly in postgraduate education,” the Rector said briefly before cutting the tumpeng.
