Isyak Meirobie became Untar’s first Doctor of Management Science in the Open Examination of Doctor of Management Science (DIM) Study Program, Untar Postgraduate Program at the Auditorium of Untar Campus I, Monday (10/6).
In addition to graduating with a GPA of 4.00 and with honors, Isyak Meirobie received the Nusantara Achievement Award from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) as the first graduate of Untar’s Doctor of Management Science Program. He also received a Creation Recording Letter from the Director General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
Isyak Meirobie successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Determinant Model of Sustainable Performance of Micro Business”. He concluded that business collaboration and competitiveness of micro businesses in the Belitung Islands are dominantly built by business capabilities supported by digital innovation, as well as adapting government regulations and smart governance.
The 2018-2023 Deputy Regent of Belitung revealed that the sustainable performance of micro businesses in the Belitung Islands increased mainly based on increasing competitiveness.
“Through this research, it is revealed that efforts to achieve sustainable performance for micro businesses rely on the results of increasing competitiveness and developing business collaboration,” he explained.
On this occasion, the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. as the main promoter conveyed a message that the new doctor can remain humble, and always make the alma mater proud with works.
“Congratulations and we hope you stay humble. Keep the good name of Untar and maintain the values of integrity, professionalism, and entrepreneurship wherever you work,” said the Rector.
Isyak Meirobie is a politician from Belitung. An alumnus of Untar’s Bachelor of Interior Design, Isyak has served as Vice Regent of Belitung for the 2018-2022 period, and is currently the Spokesperson for Sport Tourism for the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.
