The Faculty of Engineering (FT) of Untar, in collaboration with FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation) Indonesia, organized a public lecture and talk show titled “Sustainable Economic Development and Property Investment Post-New Capital” on Thursday (6/6/2024) at Untar Campus I.

In her opening remarks, Secretary of the Undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning – Real Estate (PWK-RE) Study Program, Nadia Ayu Rahma Lestari, S.T., M.Sc., emphasized the importance of the event as a platform for analyzing policies and strategies needed to promote economic growth.

“This talk show is expected to serve as a forum for participants to engage in discussions, exchange knowledge, and learn from the experiences of experts in their respective fields,” Nadia said.

The event featured international speakers, including Principal of World Citizen Consulting and Former Secretary General of FIABCI USA Bill Endsley, as well as Founding Partner of Ellis-Miller + Partners Jonathan Ellis-Miller. The discussion was moderated by PWK-RE Class of 2006 alumnus Cita Vaga.

Other distinguished speakers included Head of Advisory at JLL Indonesia Vivin Harsanto, Chief of Regional Economic Development and Partnership at the Nusantara Capital Authority Rusmin Lawin, President Director of PT Astra Land Indonesia Wibowo Muljono, and Vice Chairman of AREBI (Indonesian Real Estate Brokers Association) Nurul Yaqin.

In his presentation, Bill Endsley highlighted that the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) standards is a key factor in achieving sustainable and environmentally responsible development.

He expressed hope that the event would provide strategic guidance and valuable insights into the realization of sustainable economic development, responsible investment practices, and improved public welfare in Indonesia’s New Capital City.
