Untar has achieved the highest score in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
Based on data obtained from sinta.kemdikbud.go.id, Untar’s SINTA score for the last three years reached 416,987, with an overall score of 498,423. This figure puts Untar in the top position among other private universities.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. said that this achievement proves that Untar has again succeeded in showing achievements in research performance, community service (PKM), and publications. Previously, Untar was again included in the Independent Cluster for Research and PKM performance, which was announced at the end of December.
“This achievement is the result of the active contribution of Untar lecturers and students, supported by collaboration with partners both at home and abroad, which has produced various reputable works,” said the Rector.
He also emphasized the importance of the involvement of all lecturers and students in research, PKM, and publication activities. As a form of appreciation for the performance of lecturers and students, Untar provides incentives in the Research Week event.
He added that the results that have been achieved need to be managed well. He said, Untar has prepared various programs to maintain and improve this SINTA achievement.
“Currently, we have prepared SINTA accredited journals in various fields, in the form of international seminars, national seminars, international journals, and various types of internal grants that can be utilized by Untar lecturers and students,” he concluded.
In particular, the Rector expressed his appreciation for the contribution of the entire academic community of Untar. He hopes that these contributions can support the improvement of the quality of higher education in Indonesia to produce superior Human Resources (HR).
SINTA is a ranking system developed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to evaluate the performance and impact of scientific research in various universities. SINTA scores reflect the academic achievement of a university in its contribution to the development of science and technology.
