Silia Yuslim officially holds the title of Doctor of Civil Engineering after successfully defending her dissertation entitled “Management Model for Sustainable City Park Construction Project Implementation in DKI Jakarta” in the Open Dissertation Examination at the Auditorium Campus I Untar, Tuesday (19/12).
The Trisakti University lecturer explained the background of his research which arose from the lack of construction projects that successfully meet the predetermined cost, time, and quality standards.
This challenge becomes more evident in urban park construction projects in DKI Jakarta, which often experience changes in function quickly and lack of quality. This results in the positive impact not being felt optimally by the community.
In her dissertation, Silia presents a solution in the form of a management model for organizing sustainable city park construction projects. She hopes that this model can improve the efficiency and quality of project results, thus providing maximum benefits to the community.
As an output of her research, Silia successfully published three scientific papers in Scopus-indexed international journals.
The main promoter Prof. Dr. Manlian Ronald A. Simanjuntak, S.T., M.T., D.Min. hopes that the results of this research can become Silia’s identity, so that she will be known as an academic who is interested in the implementation of urban parks.
With a very satisfying predicate, Silia Yuslim became the 73rd Civil Engineering Doctoral graduate of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Untar.
The session was chaired by the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. The examiners were Dr. Ir. Hendrik Sulistio, M.T., I.P.M., Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. and Dr. Ir. Bambang Endro Yuwono, M.T., I.P.U.
