Untar’s Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) organized the 5th Indonesian Agents of Change (API) Festival 2023 with the theme “Advancement of Archipelago Culture”. The event was held at Campus I Untar, Thursday (30/11).

API Festival is an annual event that was initiated in 2019. This year, the organization collaborated with 23 institutions from various regions in Indonesia.

Dean of FSRD Untar Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum. revealed that the event aims to create new stories through the track records of agents of change in various fields.

“Through this festival, we want to document people who have contributed in various fields, and this year we raised the field of culture,” Kurnia continued.

Meanwhile, Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. invited the audience to bring the positive culture developed at Untar through FSRD to the world. Hopefully, this culture can contribute to creating broader changes.

Rector believes that similar educational events are important to be held in higher education.

“We must continue to fill our space with positive values through various works that can be enjoyed by the community,” said the Rector.

The API 2023 Festival was packaged in three series of events, competitions, exhibitions, and talk shows. The event involved FSRD Untar students, as well as presenting practitioners and academics who are competent in their fields. (DN/AW)
