The Contextual Creativity Verbal Test (CVCT) team consisting of students from the Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) Untar class of 2020 won the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2023. This activity was held on November 26-30, 2023 at Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung.
Chaired by Sania Teja, the team consisting of Renata Verla Gunjaya and Cecilia Ang, succeeded in making achievements with the work of the Student Creativity Program (PKM). The team, supervised by Dr. P. Tommy Y. S. Suyasa, M.Si., Psychologist, also won the title of Favorite Presentation Champion.
This PKM work focuses on the Social Research Humanities (RSH) scheme, which is the development of a contextual verbal creativity measurement tool with a computer-based testing method. The main purpose of this PKM work is to deepen understanding in the field of psychology and enrich psychological measurement tools.
Sania, Renata, and Cecilia hope that their PKM work can make a positive contribution in the field of psychological creativity, especially in educational institutions.
The three of them believe that this PKM work has broad potential, because it is able to measure a person’s ability to communicate, as well as predict the quality of work or individual achievement.
“Not only limited to educational institutions, this work also has the potential to be applied in work institutions with samples as the basis for testing. Developed web-based, this tool can be accessed from anywhere and anytime,” said Cecilia.
Tommy, representing the team, expressed his appreciation to Untar and all parties involved for their prayers, support, and adequate facilities. He also encouraged students to be involved in the implementation of PKM.
“PKM is beneficial for students because it increases research experience, a platform for creativity, and a deeper understanding of related fields,” Tommy concluded.
He hopes that the program can improve the quality of students to get decent jobs, provide experience outside the campus, and enrich national culture through the dissemination of science, technology, and art.
The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an initiative of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa). PKM aims to facilitate the potential of Indonesian students to study, develop, and apply science and technology that has been learned in lectures to the wider community. (DH/AW/KJ)
