Untar received engine cutting from PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) as a means of supporting the learning of students of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program Untar.
The handover process was carried out by PT AHM Corporate Communication Ria Prasetyo to the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. at the PT AHM factory, Cikarang, Tuesday (3/10).
Engine cutting is a machine that has been partially cut as a learning medium to recognize the parts and operations of the machine.
Rector said that this handover was a form of support for Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) activities, especially in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program of Untar.
“I hope this engine cutting can be utilized by students and lecturers for research and produce the best work for Indonesia,” said Rector.
Rector appreciates PT AHM and expects to collaborate further with PT AHM, especially in the fields of MBKM.
Meanwhile, Ria Prasetyo revealed that this donation is one of PT AHM’s CSR programs in supporting the development of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia.
This handover is also a community engagement activity from the Machine Vocational Board-Indonesian Engineers Association (BKM-PII) in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Cooperation Board (BKS-TM) and PT AHM.
“A total of 15 engine cutting machines donated by PT AHM will be distributed to Mechanical Engineering Study Programs in Java, Celebes, Sumatra, and even Papua,” said Rector who also serves as the Chairman of BKM-PII.
Also attended Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Head of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program Dr. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T., and Secretary General of the Cooperation Board of Mechanical Engineering (BKSTM) Prof. Dr. Ario Sunar Baskoro, S.T., M.T., M.Eng.
