Untar and the Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industries Association (ASMINDO) collaborate to support the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the field of furniture and handicrafts.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of the UKM Merdeka Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Untar and ASMINDO during the Indonesia Furniture and Design Expo 2023 (IFFINA) exhibition, Sunday (17/9) at ICE BSD Tangerang.
Chairman of ASMINDO Dedy Rochimat, M.M. in his speech said that ASMINDO is open to all parties who want to collaborate to produce synergy for the country.
“We also need universities and practitioners to help these MSMEs to rise to a higher level,” said the Untar Doctor of Management Science student.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. who attended the event hoped that Untar’s presence in ASMINDO and IFFINA 2023 can have a positive impact on society.
He hoped that Untar can contribute to the development of education based on industrial needs, as well as help MSMEs in the field of furniture and handicrafts to be able to develop themselves to be bigger.
Rector also revealed that lecturers and students of the Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) of Untar were actively involved in the IFFINA 2023 by exhibiting various works, as a form of implementation of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program. (DN/AW)
