Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) Untar celebrated its 29th Anniversary with the theme “Glocal Hybrid Culture” at Campus 1 Untar, Thursday (14/9).

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum revealed that the theme was raised as a reflection of FSRD Untar’s awareness of Nusantara traditions.

The hope is that students and lecturers will be more aware and proud of Indonesian culture, and promote it to the international world.

In particular, Dr. Kurnia expressed her appreciation for the collaboration of students, campus, faculty, corporate partners, community, and media in the preparation of the 29th Anniversary of FSRD Untar.

Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. in his speech said that the celebration of FSRD Untar marks a long journey in producing quality human resources through higher education at Untar.

“Continue to collaborate and synergize with all partners and work together in bringing FSRD Untar to be the best in Indonesia,” said the Rector.

Meanwhile, Hendra Wiyanto, S.E., M.E., representing the Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., said the theme “Glocal” describes FSRD Untar that has been supporting local culture for 29 years.

29 years of work, FSRD Untar has produced various achievements and alumni who are qualified in their fields. Currently, both study programs of FSRD, Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Interior Design (DI) Untar, have been accredited as “Excellent”.

This celebration is the highlight of the 29th Anniversary of FSRD, which falls on August 7, 2023. The series of events continued with the International Design Webinar Seminar on September 21, 2023. (VW/AW)
