Faculty of Social Sciences and Law Universitas Negeri Manado (Unima) organized the International Joint Conference on Science and Technology (IJCST), Tuesday (5/9).

IJCST aims to be a place to share information on research results that have been carried out by lecturers and students from various universities in foreign countries.

Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. was invited to be one of the key speakers in IJCST 2023. He presented a paper entitled Educational Leadership In 21th Century: Holistic Leadership With System Thinking.

In his presentation, Prof. Agustinus conveyed the importance of applying holistic leadership to overcome the complex challenges in Indonesian schools post Covid-19.

Schools are facing rapid changes that impact student needs, learning models, infrastructure, and the dominant use of technology. Adaptable, flexible, data-driven and empowering holistic leaders are needed to meet these challenges. Modern school leaders face complex challenges due to rapid changes in paradigms, societal needs and generational characteristics. Conventional leadership needs to shift towards a systemic mindset in an organic organizational structure.

Leading experts, educators, policy makers, researchers, lecturers, teachers, and students attended IJCST 2023 to examine the strategic role of digital pedagogy and its implications for social science and technology. (PA/API/KJ)
