Untar and Rumah Edukasi organized science, coding and robotics training for junior high school principals at Untar Campus 1, Thursday (10/8).

Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. stated that Untar is ready to support the training activities of teachers and students to improve STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) skills.

He said that STEAM is the main element in developing various aspects of life, especially in children’s self-management. The Rector of Untar explained that technological capabilities can encourage the potential of children in Indonesia from abilities and skills.

Director of Rumah Edukasi Mulia Anton said that STEAM-based training can be applied to the learning and operation of public and private junior high schools in the West Jakarta Region II Education Office.

He hopes that students who take part in this year’s training can rush to compete in STEAM-based science, coding and robotics competitions from regional, national and international levels.

Head of the West Jakarta Region II Education Sub-Department Junaedi expressed his appreciation to Untar and Rumah Edukasi for sharing knowledge that is easy to apply and can improve the achievements of junior high schools in the West Jakarta area.

The event was attended by 90 junior high school principals in West Jakarta. (VW/AW)
