Student Executive Board of Faculty of Law (BEM FH) held Tarumanagara Law Fair V National Seminar at Auditorium Campus I Untar, Thursday (23/6).
The seminar themed “Peel Through the Settlement of Land Dispute with Alternative Mediation” was opened by Dean of FH Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.M., M.Kn. presenting speakers Supreme Court Judicial Judge Dr. Riki Perdana Raya Waruwu, S.H., M.H. and lecturer of FH Untar Dr. R.M. Gatot P. Soemartono, S.E., S.H., M.M., LL.M.
In his presentation, Riki conveyed his experience in handling land disputes through mediation at the Supreme Court. The mediation case he handled at the Supreme Court ended with a satisfactory and sustainable agreement for all parties involved.
Meanwhile, Gatot reviewed the importance of understanding the perspective of each party involved in a land dispute. According to him, mediation plays a role in reducing the workload of the court and providing space for both parties to reach a fair and sustainable agreement.
The Dean of FH Untar when opening the event hoped that this seminar could provide in-depth insights related to land dispute issues that are often encountered in the field of property law.
Tarumanagara Law Fair V National Seminar is an annual event of BEM FH attended by hundreds of lecturers and students. (SC/AW)
