Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. and Prof. Dr. Gunardi Lie, S.H., M.H. were promoted as professors of the Faculty of Law (FH) Untar. The Menristekdikbud Decree Letter regarding promotion as professors was presented by Acting Head of Higher Education Service Institute (LLDikti) Region III Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., Thursday (22/6) at LLDikti III Building, Jakarta, along with six other new professors from universities under LLDikti III.
In his speech, Lukman stated that he expects the new professors to be the inspiration of younger lecturers. He also encourages higher education leaders to prepare their lecturers promotion in order to make each higher education better.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. that was present in the event said that the promotion of the two professors is a huge achievement for Untar, and believes this would help the career development of other Untar lecturers.
“Congratulations to the new professors, I hope their works could be beneficial for the institution and society,” said Rector when asked to deliver a speech.
The two new professors stated their commitment to dedicate their works for Indonesian education advancement. This was said by Ariawan, who stated that he is ready to contribute for the nation and country.
“Through this new title, we could give a big contribution for the nation and country,” said Ariawan who also serves as the Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation.
Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. completed his bachelor study at FH Untar and continued his Master of Law study at Universitas Indonesia. His Doctor of Law degree was obtained from Universitas Indonesia. He obtained the doctorate degree when he is 27 years-old, making him as the youngest Doctor of Law graduate of Universitas Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Gunardi Lie, S.H., M.H. completed Bachelor of Law study at FH Universitas Katolik Parahyangan. The Master of Law Study was attained from Universitas Indonesia, and continued his Doctor of Law study at Untar. Gunardi has also served as the Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation in 2012-2022 and as the Dean of FH Untar in 2004-2008. (AW/YS/AW)
