Faculty of Law (FH) Untar held a public lecture themed “Chinese Trade Law: Get to Know the Principles, Norms, and Court Practice” online, Tuesday (6/6). The public lecture presented Prof. Yongmei Chen from Southwest University of Political Science & Law, China.
Head of the Master of Law Program, Prof. Dr. Jeane N. Selly, S.H., M.H., A.P.U, said that this event was part of a series of academic activities organized to broaden the horizons of students and academics in the field of international law and trade.
He said, this topic is one of the relevant subjects in the current era of globalization. Participants are expected to utilize this knowledge in the context of global developments and apply it in future legal practice.
Prof. Yongmei explained the trade law system in China, including the underlying legal principles, applicable norms, and common court practices in resolving trade disputes in the country.
In addition, students and other participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers regarding the topics discussed. (SC/AW)
