Low Productivity One of the Biggest Challenges Faced by Construction Sector

Low productivity is one of the biggest challenges faced by construction sector. This could create inflation, social conflict, and distrust to economic condition.

Partnering model could be the solution to that. Partnering could affect the performance of a construction project, the better the partnering in a project, the better the performance of the said project.

That was stated by Endah Murtiana Sari when presenting her dissertation in the open Untar Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program dissertation defense, Tuesday (30/5) at Untar Campus Auditorium.

Endang managed to defend her dissertation and eligible to hold doctoral degree, in front of the panel of examiners led by Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. whom also served as the lead promotor, lecturer of Undip Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. (co-promotor), and lecturer of ITB Prof. Ir. Rizal Z. Tamin, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Ir. Muhamad Abduh, M.T., Ph.D. (external examiner).

This dissertation defense is a collaboration between Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU).

Prof. Agung, who had the opportunity to give the open statement, expects the partnering model not only written in the dissertation, but also able to be realized in the real world through various collaborations.

Endah Murtiana Sari is the 68th graduate of Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering Untar. She graduated with cumlaude. (DN/YS/AW)
