The Gokart Team of Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering Tarumanagara performed at the Sentul circuit on May 13-14, 2023 in the Eshark ROK event. The team, called Mechanical Engineering Tarumanagara Racing Team (MeRT), returned to the track after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year, the MeRT team competed in the “Shifter” class by fielding two teams. In this class, the two MeRT teams competed against well-known campuses, including the University of Indonesia, Unpas, UNJ, ITB, UPI, and others.
Secretary of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program of Untar Didi Widya Utama, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. said that MeRT’s participation in this competition is very meaningful, even though it has not succeeded in bringing home the trophy.
According to Didi, every competition is an opportunity for students to learn and gain valuable experience in the racing world and the professional world. Every detail and experience can be utilized to prepare for the upcoming series.
