Untar held the 81st graduation ceremony at Jakarta Convention Center, Saturday (15/4). 2.025 graduates, that consist of nine doctorates, 162 masters, 81 professionals, and 1.773 bachelors, attended this graduation ceremony.
This graduation ceremony theme is “Untar untuk Indonesia: Continuous Development in Diversity for Public Welfare”. Head of Higher Education Service Institute (LLDikti) Region III Dr. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M. P. and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, represented by Deputy Head of Education Office of DKI Jakarta Purwosusilo, M.Pd., attended to present the graduation oration.
In the opening speech, Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU., AE. expected graduates and alumni of Untar to be able to build positive reputation of Untar in the society.
“We believe, after all of you graduate and work among the society, all of you will be able to implement your skill, knowledge, and experience in positive aspects. Currently, we need a lot of highly competent people to support the national development,” said Rector.
Meanwhile, Head of LLDikti Region III Dr. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M. P. in her oration emphasized that educated, adaptive, and collaborative human resources are needed to reach Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia) in 2045. Untar, currently accredited as Excellent, is believed to produce excellent graduates and alumni as well.
Untar Graduation Ceremony, which has obtained MURI Record as The Graduation Ceremony with The Longest Continuous Nusantara Culture Theme, in this 81st occassion represented Yogyakarta as its theme. (YI/YS/AW)
