Education Administration Body through Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. inaugurated the renovated school Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Khoeriyyah, Wednesday (8/2) at Ciherang, Cianjur, West Java, that was destroyed during the earth quake in late November 2022.
The quake affected several sectors, including education. Several schools were destroyed, making students unable to attend and study.
Tarumanagara Foundation immediately provides social aid to victims in the form of renovation to damaged schools. This act is in line with Tarumanagara Foundation Vision and Mission, which to actively involve in national development through education, improving the citizens.
In the opening speech, Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. said that as one of the biggest foundation in Indonesia, Tarumanagara Foundation will not stop contributing to the nation and assist the people equally regarding their tribe, religion, and race as we are a family.
“Tarumanagara Foundation will continue to assist other schools in need of repairs, so the younger generation could obtain and continue their studies comfortably,” he continued.

Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), a part of Tarumanagara Foundation, also rendered aid to the quake victims in Cianjur through “Untar Peduli ” fundings and various activities joined under Community Engagement in last December. Lecturers and students were deployed to locations in need.
“Untar provided aid for babies to have sufficient shelter, assistance to children in the form of trauma healing, assistance to family affected by the quake, assistance to farmers to help them become productive, and other assistance activities,” explained Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU, AE.
He added, the Community Engagement activities received grant from Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Kemendikbudristek RI, aimed to help the society to rise and live well.
This is a form of commitment and care of Tarumanagara Foundation and Untar as the implementation of Untar untuk (for) Indonesia.(YS/AW)
