A university has to develop integrated internal advantage that suits the needs of stakeholders. This internal advantage acts as a strong value that becomes a part of the university, without copying other universities’ advantages.

Furthermore, a university leader must fully understand the regulations to create a comprehensive achievement strategy, and must be backed by human resources owning credibility, solid, and have access to all university data and documents.

The explanation was stated by Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU, AE as a speaker of Higher Education Excellent Accreditation Technical Advisory: Widening the Knowledge of Excellent Higher Education Excellent Accreditation Year 2023 for Universities under LLDikti region III, Wednesday (8/2) at Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU).

“A university needs to create breakthrough and long-term target to achieve Excellent accreditation,” he continued while presenting “Sharing Good Practice.”

Head of General Affairs LLDikti III Noviyanto, S.T., MMSI that attended as the representative of the Head of LLDikti III stated that as a Higher Education Service Institute, LLDikti III’s job and function is to support external quality assurance of a university.

“There are 15 Excellent-accredited universities under LLDikti III. Therefore, in the next 1 year, we aim to assist other universities to obtain Excellent accreditation,” he said during the opening of the event.

Meanwhile, Rector of UEU Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., MBA, IPU emphasized the need of a university to have a quality assurance system able to maintain the process itself. Therefore, teachings must be conducted under best practice from universities in Indonesia, such as Untar, and international universities.

This event is a collaboration between LLDikti III and UEU, attended by leaders of 21 universities aiming to obtain Excellent accreditation from BAN-PT. (JS/YS/AW)
