Open Dissertation Defense of Doctor of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Untar inaugurated Abdul Rachman to hold doctoral degree with a satisfactory predicate, Wednesday (25/1) at Untar campus auditorium.

The dissertation defense was led by Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., AE, and as the examiner Prof. Ir. Roesdiman Soegiarso, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Ir. Onnyxiforus Gondokusumo, M.Eng., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Sugeng Subagio, DEA. Meanwhile, as the main promotor Prof. Ridho Bayuaji, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. and co-promotor Dr. Ir. Najid, M.T.

Abdul Rahman managed to defend his dissertation titled “Estimation Model of Building Construction Cost (Case Study in Jakarta).”

Abdul that works at Office of Public Housing and Residential Area of Jakarta Province stated several affecting factors in creating the estimation model of building construction cost.

He stated that the affecting factors in creating the estimation model of building construction cost are the size of building, the height of building, number of floors, area size, finishing grade, project time, and the cost of health and work safety.

In the same occasion, Prof. Ridho Bayuaji, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. stated the expectation to always produce positive outcome through the obtained knowledge.

Abdul Rachman is the 64th graduate of Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program Faculty of Engineering Untar. (DN/YS/AW)
