Yogyakarta (21/3) Tarumanagara Science Communication Faculty’s lecturer Yugih Setyanto, S.Sos., M.Si, attended the national seminar which was declared by Indonesia’s Public Relations Association, located at Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University in 21-22 March 2017. This national seminar discusses the current Public Relation development issues and the challenges for the future. According to Yugih Setyanto, S.Sos., M.Si, “Higher education institutions need public relations in order to keep in touch with the public, not different from corporations. There are some specific cases that differentiate the corporations and education institutions, one of the most important thing about education is to educate, not profit oriented. Education institutions public relation must build a good communication with stakeholder so universities are not becoming an “ivory tower”. Furthermore, university’s public relations must be capable in publishing results and scientific research which would be helpful to society”.
