Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized the strategic role of faculty members in enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service as part of the university’s efforts to realize its vision and mission.
The statement was delivered during a briefing session with office heads, institute heads, and faculty members at a perception alignment meeting in preparation for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, held at Untar Campus I on Monday (27/7/2026).
Attended by the university’s leadership and all full-time faculty members, the meeting served as a forum to align Untar’s policies and strategic programs ahead of the new academic year. Through this initiative, all members of the university are expected to share a common understanding in carrying out the three pillars of higher education—education, research, and community service—as well as the university’s strategic initiatives.
In his remarks, the Rector stressed that faculty members bear significant responsibility for maintaining and improving the quality of higher education. He noted that a shared understanding is a crucial foundation to ensure that all university programs are implemented cohesively and contribute meaningfully to Untar’s continued development.
“It is important for us to have a shared understanding so that all programs can be implemented in harmony and make meaningful contributions to Untar’s progress,” he said.
Head of the Rectorate Office of Untar, Astari, S.Kom., M.Kom., explained that the meeting was intended to foster a common understanding across the university, enabling all units to move in the same direction in implementing strategic programs.
“This initiative reflects Untar’s commitment to continuously advancing as a leading higher education institution through collaboration and meaningful contributions from the entire academic community,” Astari said.
In addition to the Rector’s address, several institute heads presented their priority programs in their respective areas of responsibility.
They included Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service Dr. Hetty Karunia Tunjungsari, S.E., M.Si.; Head of the Office of Quality Assurance and Audit Desi Arisandi, S.Kom., M.T.I.; Head of the Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T.; Head of the Institute for Student Affairs and Alumni Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc.; Head of the Institute for Rankings and Reputation Dr. Bagus Mulyawan, S.Kom., M.M.; Head of the Institute for Cooperation and International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, IPU; and Special Staff to the Rector for Human Resources and Key Performance Indicators Gregorius Sandjaja S., Ir., M.T.
Through the meeting, Untar aims to ensure that the entire academic community shares a unified direction in implementing policies and work programs for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, enabling the university’s three pillars of higher education to be carried out in a more integrated and sustainable manner.
