Self-development was one of the key messages delivered by Commander of the Joint Regional Defense Command (Pangkogabwilhan) III of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Lieutenant General (Letjen) TNI Richard Taruli Horja Tampubolon, S.H., M.M., during a national seminar session at Untar’s 2024 Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB) on Wednesday (14/8/2024) at Tarumanagara Arena, Untar Campus I.
Carrying the theme “Untar for Indonesia and the World: Sustainable Innovation – Igniting Curiosity to Drive Creativity,” the event was attended by 3,000 new undergraduate students from eight faculties at Untar.
Letjen TNI Richard Tampubolon emphasized that continuous self-improvement can help students become more confident, independent, and responsible individuals. He encouraged new students to build strong and resilient character while taking pride in being Indonesian citizens guided by the values of Pancasila.
“Let the diversity of ethnicities, religions, races, and cultures in Indonesia serve as a powerful force for unity rather than a dividing wall. Students must be individuals of strong character and broad insight, as you are the agents of change who play an important role in preserving Indonesia’s natural resources,” he stated.
