Generation Z is expected to harness technological advancements and digital access to continue innovating, develop their potential, and contribute to the nation’s progress.
This message was delivered by former Governor of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI), Andi Widjajanto, during the second day of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), held on Thursday (14/8/2025) at Campus I Untar, Jakarta.
In his presentation titled “Defending the Nation in the Digital Era: Becoming Agents of Change for Golden Indonesia 2045,” Andi emphasized that technological progress should not become an obstacle to safeguarding national sovereignty. Instead, technology should be utilized as a strategic tool to strengthen national resilience.
Opening the event, Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., encouraged students to take bold steps toward excellence by stepping out of their comfort zones and exploring new opportunities.
“During their studies at Untar, students are expected to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and entrepreneurship. Be individuals who are open to collaboration, courageous in innovation, and committed to lifelong learning so that you can make meaningful contributions to the nation,” he said.
This year’s PKKMB carries the theme “Step into Greatness by Daring to Explore” and is attended by new students from the eight faculties within Untar. (VC/YS)
