The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Tarumanagara (IKA FEB Untar), reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of its alma mater through Jejak Rasa Nusantara: Reunion Omakase Dinner, held at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Hyatt Jakarta on Tuesday (26/8/2025).
Initiated by IKA FEB Untar in collaboration with the Family Business Excellence & Research Center (Untar Fabex RC), Grand Hyatt Jakarta, and Esa Restaurant, the event served as a gathering platform for alumni from various generations. More than just a reunion, the event, attended by Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., and Untar Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog., was designed as a means of making a tangible contribution to the university’s advancement. Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., along with members of the foundation’s leadership, was also present.
The event featured a series of activities, including an exclusive talk show titled “Think Like an Owner: Mindset of a Value Investor,” with renowned stock investor Lo Kheng Hong serving as the keynote speaker.
On the occasion, Daily Chair of IKA FEB Untar, Dr. Hadi Cahyadi, emphasized the importance of alumni involvement in strengthening the university’s position amid growing global competition. According to him, various initiatives, including the reunion dinner, demonstrate the alumni community’s ongoing commitment and solidarity. He also encouraged all alumni to contribute more actively in elevating Untar’s standing toward becoming one of the world’s top 1,000 universities.
A similar message was echoed by alumni from different generations. Jongki Widjaja, a member of the Class of 1988, encouraged FEB students to broaden their perspectives in responding to changing times, particularly in the field of accounting, which now requires knowledge of sustainability, artificial intelligence, and forensic practices.
Another alumnus, Alwi A. Tjandra, expressed his pride in being part of Untar and underscored the role of alumni as pioneers rather than merely employees.
Through Jejak Rasa Nusantara, FEB Untar alumni reaffirmed their position as a strong and connected network, ready to collaborate with both the business sector and educational institutions. Their continued engagement is expected to further strengthen Untar’s reputation at both the national and international levels. (WA/YS)
