Putri Arumsari has officially earned her new title as the 98th Doctor of Civil Engineering from the Doctoral Program in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tarumanagara.
Her achievement was obtained after successfully defending her dissertation entitled “Alternative Modeling of Institutional and Financial Schemes for the Maintenance and Management of Public Rental Housing (Rusunawa) in DKI Jakarta,” held at Campus I Universitas Tarumanagara on Tuesday (7/10/2025).
A lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Binus University, she explained that there are challenges faced by the Public Housing Management Unit (UPRS) in managing Rusunawa, particularly related to the financial conditions of its residents.
She analyzed the Rusunawa system located in DKI Jakarta as the object of her research, using Soft System Methodology (SSM) and Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). Through these methods, she sought to identify possible changes in the institutional and financial schemes of Rusunawa.
Based on the SSM analysis results, a rich picture, CATWOE analysis, conceptual model, and proposed change model were developed. From the MCDM results, the top five Rusunawa locations most capable of adapting to institutional scheme changes were identified, namely Kelapa Gading Timur, Cipinang Besar Utara, Cipinang Muara, Jalan KS Tubun, and Rawa Buaya.
The promotion examination was chaired by the Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., with the main promoter Prof. Sofia W. Alisjahbana, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., and co-promoters Ayomi Dita Rarasti, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., and Dr. Ir. Najid, M.T.
The examination committee consisted of Ir. Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; Ir. Oei Fuk Jin, S.T., M.Eng., D.Eng.; Dr. Mega Waty, S.T., M.T.; and Prof. Heni Fitriani, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
Putri Arumsari achieved a “very satisfactory” predicate and became the 98th doctoral graduate of the Doctoral Program in Civil Engineering at Universitas Tarumanagara.
