Untar in collaboration with the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III, held an Academic Career Workshop for Lecturers on Wednesday (12/11/2025) at the Auditorium of Building M, Campus I Untar. The workshop aimed to provide educators with an in-depth understanding of the procedures for applying for academic rank promotions, particularly toward the positions of associate professor and professor.
Through the workshop, participants received direct guidance from representatives of LLDikti regarding regulations, policies, and strategies for accelerating academic career advancement within higher education institutions. The event was opened by Untar Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, who emphasized the importance of such activities in supporting lecturers’ professional development.
“I hope this workshop enables participants to gain knowledge regarding the management of academic career advancement for lecturers, so that they may also assist colleagues who need guidance in the future,” she stated.
One of the speakers was Ina Agustiani, a representative from LLDikti Region III, who presented material on strategies for accelerating lecturers’ academic promotions from two perspectives — lecturers and institutions.
“From the lecturers’ perspective, it is important to understand the applicable regulations and requirements. Carry out the Tridharma in a structured manner, build networks, and optimize the use of information systems,” she explained.
“Meanwhile, from the university’s perspective, the development of internal policies, enhancement of research and publication capacity, and the provision of trained administrative teams will greatly support the acceleration of academic promotion applications,” she added at the conclusion of her presentation.
The event was conducted interactively and attended by lecturers from various faculties at Untar. Participants actively engaged in discussions and raised questions regarding administrative and technical challenges in the functional promotion process.
Through this activity, Untar demonstrated its commitment to supporting the academic career development of educators while strengthening synergy between universities and LLDikti in building a high-quality and sustainable higher education ecosystem.
