Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held the Grand Final of Duta Untar 2025 on Friday (21/11/2025) at the Auditorium of Building M, Campus I Untar. Carrying the theme “Driven to Redefine,” the event marked the culmination of this year’s Duta Untar selection series, which has been held since 2009 and has become one of Untar’s prestigious annual student events.
A total of 16 finalists from various faculties took the stage and competed during the Grand Final night. Following a series of assessments, Shannon Megane Sulistio and A. Zaidan Ammar R. were crowned as Duta Untar 2025. In addition to the main titles, several other award categories were also announced, including First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Most Talented, and Favorite Duta Untar 2025.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., who emphasized the significance of this year’s theme in his remarks.
“‘Driven to Redefine’ adalah panggilan bagi mahasiswa kita untuk tidak hanya mengikuti arus, melainkan berani mendefinisikan ulang batasan prestasi, kreativitas, dan kontribusi sosial,” ujarnya.
The Person in Charge of Duta Untar 2025 and Head of the Untar Student and Alumni Affairs Institution (Lemawa), Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc., also expressed his hopes that the selected ambassadors would carry out their strategic roles effectively.
“I hope Duta Untar 2025 can work closely with the Student Affairs Institution to enliven the campus through positive activities. Become an inspiring bridge between students, alumni, and the wider community,” he explained.
The Grand Final of Duta Untar 2025 was successfully held with the support of students from various faculties as well as the finalists’ parents, who were also present at the event. The judging process was conducted by Untung Subroto, Giok Kinski, Jeremy Gregory Samatara, and Tri Sutrisno.
Giok Kinski, one of the judges and Puteri Indonesia Intelegensia 2023, shared her appreciation for the finalists. “I hope Duta Untar 2025 can become proactive Gen Z role models who spread positive values,” she said.
After being crowned, Shannon and Zaidan expressed their pride and gratitude. “We are certainly very proud to be able to bring honor to Untar,” they stated.
Through this event, the finalists were prepared to become representatives of Untar students who are characterized by integrity, intelligence, and strong character, while also being capable of becoming agents of change within the campus environment. Duta Untar is also expected to serve as a symbol of anti-drug and anti-bullying campaigns, as well as a promoter of leadership values for the entire academic community.
The Grand Final of Duta Untar 2025 reflects Untar’s commitment to continuously encouraging students to grow not only academically, but also in terms of soft skills, personality, and leadership.
