Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., welcomed a delegation from Murdoch University to explore opportunities for collaboration and strengthen future partnerships, particularly in the fields of Business, Communication, and Information Technology (IT). The meeting took place on Thursday (12/02/2026) at Campus I Untar.
The Murdoch University delegation consisted of Dr. Ian Douglas Wilson and David Scholefield. Representing Untar, the meeting was also attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, along with representatives from related faculties.
During the meeting, Untar and Murdoch University agreed on plans to develop collaboration focused on implementing joint degree programs for undergraduate (S1) and master’s (S2) levels. In addition, the Murdoch University delegation explained that the institution operates its main campus in Perth, as well as international campuses in Singapore and Dubai.
“This partnership has the potential to open broader collaboration opportunities with campuses in Singapore and Dubai,” they stated.
The discussion also covered other collaborative programs, including student exchange, visiting lecturer initiatives, and summer programs.
The Rector of Untar welcomed the visit and expressed hope that the collaboration could soon be realized. “In the future, this agreement will be realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and further developed into various forms of collaboration, including joint research as well as student and lecturer exchange programs,” he stated.
The discussion then continued with more technical talks involving academic staff in accordance with the related study fields and departments. (VC/YS)
