The Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat) of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) organized a legal drafting training session on Wednesday (08/04/2026) at Untar Campus I. The program was attended by representatives from units across the nine faculties within Untar.

The training aimed to optimize the formulation and updating of regulations within each faculty unit in support of better university governance. This initiative is also related to institutional quality improvement in preparation for the Higher Education Institutional Accreditation (AIPT), the official accreditation assessment conducted by BAN-PT.

The activity was conducted in the form of an interactive workshop featuring case study discussions on legal drafting. Several participants also presented the results of their discussions as part of the learning process.

Head of Pusdiklat Untar, Dr. dr. Arlends Chris, M.Si., opened the event by stating that the training was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding and skills in drafting regulations within the faculty environment.

As the keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H., Professor of Constitutional and Legislative Law at the Faculty of Law Untar, emphasized the importance of understanding the distinction between regulations and decisions, as well as their implementation across all units.

“The ability to make decisions and solve problems is an essential part of the regulatory drafting process,” Prof. Rasji explained.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation of Untar, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist, also delivered remarks during the session. She stated that the training serves as a step toward updating regulations in line with the latest provisions to achieve institutional accreditation standards. (VC/YS)
