Untar Strengthens Community Service Publications through International Collaborative Research Workshop

The Research and Community Service Institute of Tarumanagara University (LPPM Untar) held a Workshop on International Collaborative Research and Community Service Article Writing on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) at Untar Campus I. The event was attended by lecturers who received research and community service (abdimas) grants for the periods of Phase II–2024 and Phase I–2025. The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of research publication, industry collaboration, and academic innovation.

Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of synergy between universities, industry, and international institutions in driving impactful academic advancement. “Through collaboration, we can create more applicable and meaningful solutions for society,” he stated.

The workshop covered strategic topics such as academic innovation, industry collaboration, and internationalization, featuring three guest speakers from Malaysia—Associate Professor EUR. ING. TS. Ir. Dr. Syuhaida Ismail, Dr. Muhammad Nur Arif Othman, and Ms. Mazlinawati Abdul Majid shared insights on global research trends and emphasized the importance of cross-country collaboration in enhancing the quality and impact of scientific publications.

“Collaborative research allows us to combine diverse expertise and perspectives, which often leads to stronger and more relevant solutions, especially in addressing global challenges,” said Dr. Muhammad Nur Arif Othman.

In another session, Dr. Rehulina Apriyanti, S.T., M.T. from Gunadarma University presented strategies for writing community service articles that meet scientific standards and have the potential to be published in reputable journals. She also explained the technical steps for submitting articles to the Science and Technology Index (SINTA), from SINTA 6 up to SINTA 1.

By emphasizing a collaborative and international approach, this workshop is part of Untar’s commitment to enhancing lecturers’ capacity to produce reputable and impactful scholarly work, both nationally and internationally. (VC/AJ)
