Untar strengthens its collaboration with Kun Shan University (KSU) through active participation in the 60th anniversary celebration of KSU and the organization of two prestigious international conferences: the International Conference on Applied Science, Technology, and Engineering (ICASTE) and the International Conference on Economics, Business, Social and Humanities (ICEBSH) 2025.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., and the Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., attended the 60th anniversary celebration of KSU on Saturday (April 12, 2025). During this momentous occasion, the celebration conveyed a message of KSU’s extraordinary achievements over the past 60 years, as it has now officially stepped into the forefront of intelligent transportation and zero-carbon emissions.
During this event, the Untar delegation also had a direct meeting with the President of Taiwan, Lai Ching-te, along with KSU’s leadership, including the President of KSU Dr. Lee, Tien-Shang, Executive Vice President Dr. Chung, Chun-Yen, Dean of International Affairs Mr. Chuang, Yueh-Feng, Dean of the College of Applied Intelligence Management Feng, Tony, and Chairman of the Department of Business Administration Lu, Mark.
The presence of the leadership from the Tarumanagara Foundation and Untar symbolizes the strong commitment of both institutions in establishing strategic collaboration for the advancement of higher education, academic innovation, and strengthening international exchange.

The collaboration continued with the organization of ICASTE and ICEBSH 2025, which took place at KSU’s campus in Taiwan on Monday (April 14, 2025). With the theme “Accelerating Global Sustainable Development Through Higher Education,” the conference was attended by academics, students, and speakers from various countries.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, opened the conference and emphasized the importance of higher education in supporting sustainable development. “Sustainable development is not just a goal, but a shared commitment to maintaining the balance between socio-economic growth and environmental preservation,” he said. He also encouraged participants to foster cross-sector partnerships for a just and resilient future.
In the main session, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi presented a paper titled “The Importance of Education for Global Transformation,” highlighting education as the primary means of accelerating innovation and inclusivity in global development. Other speakers included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chang-Lin Chuang (KSU) with the topic “Virtual AI Training Education,” and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chan Choon Kit (INTI International University, Malaysia) who discussed “Integrating Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Human-Robot Interaction.”
This conference serves as a tangible proof of Untar’s commitment to strengthening its international academic network, supporting cross-cultural knowledge exchange, and creating relevant discussion spaces on global issues. The strategic relationship between Untar and KSU includes student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research, and active participation in various international scientific forums.
