Tarumanagara Foundation together with West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto, S.Sos., M.A.P. inaugurated the Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) named Tarumanagara Bridge, Thursday (7/20).
The inauguration of the bridge, which has been renovated since the beginning of this year, is part of the Tarumanagara Foundation’s 64th anniversary program.
Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. said Tarumanagara Bridge is an offering from Tarumanagara Foundation for DKI Jakarta, which has just celebrated its 496th anniversary.
Hopefully, this facility can facilitate the academic community of Untar and the people of Jakarta in carrying out their daily activities.
West Jakarta Mayor especially expressed his appreciation to Tarumanagara Foundation for renovating the JPO into a comfortable and safe crossing place.
“Tarumanagara Bridge will certainly be very useful especially when the traffic is heavy. People can walk comfortably,” concluded the Mayor.

Tarumanagara Bridge which now connects Untar Campus I and II is also equipped with disability-friendly facilities, including an elevator with a capacity of 300 kg and floor materials that can be crossed by wheelchairs and are not slippery when it rains.
