Ir. Agustinus Sutanto, M. Arch., Ph.D.

Head of Master of Architecture Study Program

Ir. Agustinus Sutanto, M. Arch., Ph.D., completed his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Tarumanagara University in 1992. He subsequently earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) in 1998 and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 2003 from The Bartlett School of Architecture – University College London. Subsequently, he earned his doctorate through the Ph.D. by Design program at the University of Sheffield in 2009.

Currently, he focuses on research by design in the field of architecture as well as studies in architecture and urbanism through theoretical and practical approaches. He has also published an online book discussing theories and methods of research and architectural design. In addition to his active roles as a professional architect and academic, he has served as a member of the Jakarta Provincial Government’s Expert Team on Building Construction (TABG–AP) since 2014.
