Rorlen completed her Bachelor and Master degree at Untar in Management in 2003 and 2005. She started her career as a lecturer in 2008, teaching courses such as Financial Management, Corporate Budgeting, and Economic Mathematics.

As an academic, Rorlen is also active in research and scientific publications. Some of the research topics she has written about include stock mutual fund performance analysis and the effect of organizational climate on employee performance.
Since 2023, Rorlen has served as the Head of Internal Public Relations at Untar. She was also involved in various committees of the International Conference on Economics, Business, and Management (ICEBM) from 2020 to 2023, which discussed various important themes, including post-pandemic business adaptation and the role of MSMEs in the tourism industry.
