A total of 688 Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) students were declared competent after completing professional certification exams in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
Organized through Untar’s Professional Certification Institute (LSP Untar), the certification program is part of the university’s efforts to prepare graduates with professional skills that meet workplace demands.
Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, SH., MH., M.Kn., MM symbolically presented competency certificates to 25 students representing participants from five certification schemes. The ceremony took place at Untar Campus I, Jakarta, on Friday (9/10/2026).
The Rector stated that professional certification helps ensure students not only master academic knowledge but also possess tested and recognized professional skills.
“Through LSP Untar, students have the opportunity to demonstrate competencies relevant to their fields of study as preparation for entering the workforce. These certificates provide added value for Untar graduates, as not all higher education institutions have their own professional certification institutes,” he said.
The certification exams were conducted in two stages during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The first stage took place from March 3 to June 22, 2026, under the Industrial Entrepreneurship certification scheme for sixth-semester undergraduate students in the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
The second stage was held from May 11 to June 6, 2026, covering four certification schemes: Photography, Data Scientist, Advertising Creative Strategy Development, and Public Relations Officer.
The certificate presentation ceremony was also attended by Untar Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, along with leaders from several faculties.
Through its professional certification program, Untar aims to strengthen the connection between academic education and industry competency standards, providing graduates with additional qualifications to compete in the workforce. (CJ/YS)
