Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), through its Training and Development Center (Pusdiklat), provided faculty members and education staff with training on the use of database technology for modern application development and artificial intelligence (AI) on Friday (07/08/2026) at Building M, Untar Campus I.

The hybrid event was held in collaboration with SmartBridge and MongoDB and featured India-based trainer Chennuri Sidharta, who provided training on the use of MongoDB to support modern application development and AI technologies.

The workshop, titled “MongoDB for Modern Applications & AI,” covered an introduction to MongoDB, transforming relational data models into document models, CRUD operations, MongoDB Atlas configuration, the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, and MongoDB Vector Search. In addition to the presentations, participants took part in demonstrations to gain practical experience in using the technology.

Head of the Untar Training and Development Center Dr. dr. Arlends Chris, M.Si. expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between Untar, SmartBridge, and MongoDB in supporting the development of faculty and education staff competencies. SmartBridge representative David Wijaya also attended the event.

The workshop was part of Untar’s efforts to strengthen human resource competencies in response to digital technology developments, particularly in the use of databases and AI. Collaboration with industry partners is also aimed at broadening understanding of technological developments and their application in the education sector. (VC/YS)
